Meet Denise
Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I’m Denise, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with over 15 years of experience providing trauma-informed therapy to individuals and families. I’ve worked across public child welfare, community mental health, and private practice, supporting clients navigating trauma, chronic stress, community violence, and major life transitions.
My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-focused approaches, including EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic integration, and art-based trauma processing. I prioritize creating a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship where clients feel supported, respected, and empowered in their healing. In addition to client care, I also provide clinical supervision and consultation for therapists seeking growth and sustainability in their work.
Healing with Presence, Growth, and Movement
The blue heron has long been meaningful to me and reflects how I understand healing. Like the heron standing still in the water, therapy often begins with slowing down—listening, noticing, and identifying what is needed in the present moment. When the time is right, that stillness gives way to movement and expansion, much like the heron taking flight toward its next destination.
I believe healing is most effective when it is person-centered, flexible, and collaborative. My role is to offer a steady, supportive space where clients can pause, reflect, and then move forward at their own pace. Healing is not linear, but with safety, attunement, and trust, growth becomes possible. I am honored to walk alongside clients as they navigate their own paths toward healing and change.
